All about Rena: Visit to the zoo and a train ride!

Last Friday we went to the zoo with our friends Kendra and Ella. The weather has finally cooled down so we thought it would be fun to take the girls there. We picked up Chick-fil-A and headed to the zoo and had an early lunch there. It was a nice day but much warmer than we expected! We had fun walking around and the girls were very good and stayed in their strollers the whole time! Rena has never been a big fan of sitting in her stroller but now she finally likes it...better late than never, haha!

Rena insisted on wearing her pink giraffe shirt to the zoo so the giraffes could see her!! :) We went off to see the giraffes but discovered they moved them over to the other side of the zoo since they are building a new home for them! So we had to walk all around the zoo trying to find the giraffes. We finally found them but they were inside this big shed so we couldn't see them that clearly. But Rena enjoyed it and she also loved seeing the elephants and of course the acquarium! We also stopped by the playground in the children's area and Rena really enjoyed playing on the "bridge" and slide! We ended our visit with a train ride around Hermann park. Rena was pretty worn out and took a long nap when we got home. :) And in case you are wondering, Rena got bit by a mosquito right under her eye and it really swelled up! So that's why her eye looks so swollen in the pics!
