Wow, can't believe it's been 3 months since I've updated the blog! Things have been crazy busy with school and being back to work! But I will try to update monthly pics so I can keep up with Rena's activities during kinder!

I was so excited to meet Rena for lunch at school!! That is her sweet friend Alysa. The girls had gymnastics together over the summer and we were so happy to see a familiar face in class!

We went to meet the teacher night after dance class. Rena is standing by her palm tree :)

Mommy and Daddy had a fun date night out to celebrate our neighbor's 40th birthday. Rena had a fun sleepover with MayMay!

First day of homework! They get daily homework assignments each week. Daddy set up Rena's little table in his home office so they can work together...such a sweet Daddy!

Kindergartner!

I still can't believe it...but we officially have a kindergartner! I was so anxious, nervous, sad, excited, and worried about this day all summer. I was a complete mess the night before when I was getting her backpack and clothes ready. Rena on the other hand was sooo excited! She only wanted to read one book the night before since she "needed rest for her big day"! And then the big day was here before I knew it! Rena was very excited and couldn't eat. She just wanted to get to the school right away! Daddy came along too for drop off the first day. When we got to the class Rena was a little shy and seemed sad to see us go. That made me very sad and I was definitely tearing up on the way to our car. But I didn't completely lose it so that was a good thing! Turns out I had nothing to worry about! Rena had a great first day and is absolutely loving kindergarten! The transition went much smoother than I could have ever imagined. She is making new friends and loving all the fun activities they do. She is still adjusting to the new schedule and mornings are a bit crazy trying to get her up and ready so early. But we are so relieved our baby is loving kindergarten! I miss her like crazy during the day and afternoon pick-up is my favorite part of the day! Here are some pics from the first day and week of kinder!

Last weekend of the summer

We had a busy, fun last weekend of the summer. On Friday we started off with meet the teacher day at school. Rena was so excited to meet her new kindergarten teacher and see her class room. We dropped off her school supplies and got to look around the class and school. Her teacher was so sweet and that made me feel a little better about sending her off to kinder in two days! Rena also had her last summer gymnastics class that Saturday and the parents could come in for the last ten minutes and watch the kiddos and take pics. Rena really enjoyed her class and I wish we could continue for the fall but our busy kinder schedule doesn't leave a lot of down time! We also went to Rena's favorite restaurant Lupe Tortillas and saw the Smurfs movie...super cute!! Sunday we just took it easy and ran a couple of errands to get ready for school the next day!
