We've had a busy few days! My dad was in town to attend a conference and we all enjoyed spending time with him. Rena had fun playing with Nana. We went to the Indian lunch buffet on Sunday and then our neighbors the Silberfeins invited us over for a cookout that evening. Rena had a great time playing with Graham, Colin, and another neighbor Mia. Pam bought mini pumpkins for the kids to paint and Rena LOVED painting! It was so cute to watch her just sit there and gently paint her little pumpkin! She only wanted to use the red paint so the pumpkin actually looks like a little apple! ;) I think she sat there for an hour painting! Pam also set up a blanket on the grass so the kids could have a picnic dinner. It was Rena's first picnic and she had so much fun! She said it was just like Dora's picnic! :) She mainly just watched the older kids run around while eating her hot dog, fruit, and chips. Everyone had a great time!
Nana was busy during the week with the conference but we did get to see him in the evenings. He has a fancy new camera and took so many cute pictures of Rena. We dressed her up one day and he got some great pics of her outside that we will use for our holiday cards...so you have to wait until December to see those pics!! ;) Rena actually posed and smiled for the pictures...she was fascinated by Nana's "big" camera! Here are some pictures that Nana took at the cookout:
She wanted to stand by the big pumpkins...she loves them!
Our little artist at work
Painting is serious work!
Rena, Graham, and Mia
Taking a break to go down the slide. She loves the boys' swingset now and they invite us over to play whenever they're in the backyard! :)
I thought this was a great pic!
Enjoying her picnic!
She invited Mommy to join her picnic and was telling me an important secret! ;)
A couple pics in her new Halloween shirt...Rena calls it her "sparkly" pumpkin shirt!
Being silly on the stairs! I think Rena will be so sad when Halloween is over since she's obsessed with pumpkins!
