Winter vacation

Rena was on winter break for almost 3 weeks and we stayed very busy! We usually go to El Paso to visit Nani and Nana for Christmas but this year we had a last minute change of plans. Nana had to make an emergency trip to India so they both came to Houston so he could get a travel visa. So Nani ended up staying with us and then Nana joined us just in time for Christmas. We had a fun time with Nani and enjoyed a lot of shopping, eating, baking, and playing. Nani is very creative and loved doing special winter and Christmas craft projects with Rena. She also enjoyed reading books with Nana. We also checked out a lot of Christmas lights since Rena LOVES them! It was nice to be at our own house for Christmas this year but we missed our yearly holiday traditions in El Paso. I will post Christmas pics in the next post since there are a lot of pics!

We went to dinner at the Town Center one night and Rena loved their Christmas display. She kept saying the tree was as tall as the sky! :)

She had fun dancing to the Christmas music :)

Nani and Nana celebrated their 37th anniversary a couple days before Christmas! We love celebrating with them every year!

We got Nani and Nana a yummy cake for their anniversary

Rena helped cut the cake at MayMay's house

Helping Mommy bake chocolate pretzel treats...she mainly helped by unwrapping and eating the hershey kisses :)

Rena wore several cute holiday outfits and loved to pose by our pantry with all the holiday cards!

It got a little cold so she sported her only scarf!

We met our dear friends the Khosravis for dinner one night. They were in town from Atlanta to visit their families. We miss them so much and love spending time with them...and mommy loved this little cutie Sebastian!! :)
