Last weekend we went to a new holiday event at the Zoo called Zoo Lights. Most of the zoo was all done up in Christmas lights and it was really pretty. Rena loves "Christmas tree" lights as she calls it, so we really wanted to take her to see all the lights at the zoo. She sat in the stroller most of the time and had a great time seeing all the lights. Most of the animals were asleep but her beloved elephants and giraffes were the only ones that were out! She thought it was funny that we were at the zoo when it was dark outside! She rode the special holiday carousel that played fun Christmas music. The only downside was that it was VERY crowded and took us forever to find parking and the ticket lines were very long as well. But it was worth it once we finally got in! We look forward to going to Zoo Lights every holiday season. And we now have an unofficial tradition of going to Chuy's for dinner whenever we go to the zoo or museum in the city. We enjoyed our fun family holiday night! I took a few pics with my phone so they aren't that clear...

Daddy took this picture and was very proud of it! ;)
