First day of preschool!

Today was a big day for our little family- it was Rena's first day of preschool! She's still at the same school but she moved up to the preschool wing in the pre-k class. Rena had a great first day and was happy to see  many of her old friends from the infant classes. She told me all her friends in the class and of course was thrilled to be with her friend Lily again! Mommy was a little nervous since it's been hard for Rena to adjust to new classes when she's moved up in the infant classes. But the directors said she did great and didn't cry or hesitate at all when they took her to the new class. I'm so proud of Rena!! We've been talking about her new "big girl" class all summer so hopefully that will help with the transition. And this class is more structured like a real school- they have different subjects like social studies, PE, music, etc. And they even have quarterly report cards for the parents! It was definitely a bittersweet day for Mommy. Rena was in the infant school for almost 2 years and we will miss the directors and teachers there. She may be a big preschooler now but she'll always be Mommy's little baby. :)
