Go Texan Day!

Last Friday, Rena celebrated Go Texan Day at school. That day is the official start of the Houston Rodeo and the kids get to dress up as little cowboys and cowgirls. Rena had a fun day at school with trail rides and a fun "Texan" themed lunch party. We didn't have any cowboy boots and I really didn't want to buy some just for this day, so we improvised a little with her princess Ugg-knockoff boots. And we did have a purple cowboy hat that our neighbor handed down to us, but Rena wanted nothing to do with the hat. Some things never change...she's always hated hats! But I thought my little cowgirl looked cute in her plaid tunic, jean leggings, and pink boots. She came home and kept saying YEE-HAW all afternoon and wanted me to call her a pink cowgirl. :) Hopefully we'll get to take her to the rodeo again this year since she loved it last year!

The pink cowgirl!

She's still obsessed with her little Chippette dolls...they go everywhere with us!

And she always steals mommy's phone to play princess and fairy games!
