Rodeo Fun!

We went to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo a couple weeks ago and we all had a great time! We've lived in Houston for almost 8 years now and it was our first time at the Rodeo. We thought Rena would really enjoy it and she definitely did! We spent most of our time at AgVenture, which is an indoor kids area with lots of little animals. Rena loved watching all the animals at the little petting zoo. And there was a pony you could sit on and get a picture taken. We weren't sure if Rena would sit on the pony, but after watching some other kids she decided she wanted to get on the pony! We got a cute family picture!

And then she saw the pony ride and really wanted to go on it. The line was very long and we told her she would have to wait a long time. But she patiently waited and when it was finally her turn she just loved it! Dada walked next to her but she didn't even need him to hold her. She just grabbed on and rode the pony like an expert. :) It was so cute to watch her on the little pony! It's so funny how she's scared of birds, cats, and dogs but has no problem riding a pony! We also enjoyed some yummy BBQ and Rena loved the funnel cake! It was pretty late when we finished eating so we didn't have a chance to go on the carnival rides. But we'll definitely be back next year and plan to spend a whole day there since there's so much to do!

Rena had Rodeo Day at school and wore this cute outfit! Mimi got her the shirt awhile ago and it was perfect for Rodeo Day. Of course Rena didn't want to wear it to the actual rodeo- she wanted to wear a pink Princess dress :)
