Mother's Day weekend

We had a fun and busy Mother's Day weekend! On Friday Rena was home from school so I decided we would have a fun mommy-daughter day! We don't get to do that very much now since I started working. I told Rena that it was Mommy-Rena day and she thought that was so funny and kept repeating it.  So we headed to Hermann Park to ride the train and then visited the zoo. Rena had so much fun! She loves that train and could ride it all day! She loves when it goes through the tunnel...reminds her of a Dora episode when the big blue train goes through the tunnel! :) Rena had a great time at the zoo and loves the acquarium! She kept naming all the fish...baby fishie, mama fishie, dada fishie, etc. It's so cute how she does that now. And of course we headed over to see the elephants and giraffes, which are her two favorite animals at the zoo. She started naming the giraffes too and there was one really tall one and she said that is the Dada 'raffe! :) I decided to take her little pink buggy to the zoo since she is not a fan of sitting in her stroller too long. That worked perfectly since she sat in it almost the whole time! We stopped at the gift shop and she got a little baby stuffed giraffe. Then we stopped at Chick-filA for some lunch and then Rena had a long nap. After that we went to Target...we had to do a little shopping for our Mommy-Rena day! ;)

That Saturday we went to a fun birthday party for Farid Jr's 5th birthday. It was at Clay's restaurant and was a really fun place. They had animals you could feed and huge horses. Rena liked looking at them but didn't want to get too close. Daddy had fun feeding the animals! She had fun playing in the sandbox and running up and down the little bridge. They had a pinata and Rena took a few swings at it! She was in heaven once it broke and all the candy fell out. She filled up her little bag with all kinds of candy and ate it all night! It was such a fun party!

On Mother's day we decided to go to the Indian buffet for an early lunch. We were in the parking lot when Rena suddenly threw up! I was so dissappointed that we wouldn't get to have a nice meal, but daddy decided to take Rena home and let mommy enjoy lunch with her sister (MayMay). Thanks daddy! :) Rena seemed fine the rest of the day (I think she threw up from all that candy!) so we just hung out at home and relaxed. Rena and daddy got mommy a nice card and some pretty silver earrings! Rena has good taste. ;) Rena also made me a really cute card at school. I teared up a little when she gave it to me. My baby is such a big girl now! We had a fun weekend!
