Happy 2nd Birthday Rena!!!

Our baby girl turned two this past weekend! I still can't believe it! She is growing up way too fast! We had a fun weekend. On Friday, Nani and Nana flew in from El Paso and we all had fun just hanging out at home. Then Saturday morning Mimi, Pops, Aunt Rebecca, Aunt Mindy, and Aunt Rachel came in and Rena was sooo excited to see everyone! We ordered in lunch and Rena had fun opening all her gifts from our families. Let's just say both of her Grandmas went a little crazy with the birthday shopping! ;) She got so many cute toys and A LOT of clothes. Mommy really doesn't need to shop for a long time...but we all know that isn't really going to happen! ;)

Then Rena took a nap and we headed off to her birthday party at the Little Gym. Of course her party was Dora themed...since we all know she is slightly obsessed with Dora!! She was a little cranky when we first got there because she wanted to go in the gym and play. But they wouldn't let her go in and we were all busy setting up for the party. I got a little panicked at this point and hoped the birthday girl would not be in tears during the whole party! But then her friends started showing up and once she got to play inside she was just fine! She had fun playing with the shakers, balls, climbing on the bars, and of course the bubbles! That was always her favorite part of Little Gym class. When the teacher went over to the bubbles, Rena was the first kid standing there and waiting for them! After the play hour we went into the party room for pizza, cake and ice cream. My friend Shannon made her Dora cake and it was sooo cute and yummy! I wish we had more leftover! Her party was a lot of fun and there were so many people there....I think there were 19 kids total! But Rena always loves a good party...the more people the better! :)

Once we got home, Rena had round two of gift-opening fun! She got so many cute things. Our friends are very generous and we really appreciate everything! She got more clothes, books, puzzles, two tea sets (she is obsessed with tea sets!), some outdoor toys, and of course many Dora gifts. She had fun playing with her new toys with all her aunts and Mommy finally got to relax for a little while! We had such a great weekend and were so happy that both of our families were here to celebrate Rena's special day. I willl post some birthday pictures soon!! :)

Happy 2nd birthday Rena...we love you so much!!! :)
